Kory Sagers


     Kory started playing baseball as a young kid.  Immediately, he knew that he wanted to play professional Baseball. Kory attended Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada where he was an all-conference shortstop and second baseman. He then attended Mt. San Jacinto Junior College in Southern California for his freshman and sophomore years. In his sophomore year he lead the conference in doubles and triples and also led the league in ERA and wins as a pitcher. He earned the all-conference award as a pitcher and infielder.  After that he continued to pursue Baseball and attended BYU his junior year. There he played third base on the 1994 WAC Championship team, which went on to regionals in Florida.  Kory was then drafted by the Boston Red Sox organization as an infielder.  During his time with the Red Sox he played 8 of the 9 positions on the filed.  


     After playing for the Red Sox, he turned his attention to coaching.  He was an assistant coach for Green Valley High Schools legion team in 2002.  Later, he began coaching Little League and after that club baseball.  He managed 5 club baseball teams for CBA in Las Vegas.  In 2017 Kory moved to Bountiful, Utah and started building the Sting Baseball Academy.  Kory currently manages 5 club Sting Baseball teams and is continuing to grow the Academy.  


     Kory teaches private lessons and organizes monthly clinics and quarterly camps.  He typically has over 100 students per camp.  He enjoys teaching all ages; ranging from 4 year olds to college players. His specialty is taking athletes that are underdeveloped and transforming them into competitive players. Kory’s philosophy is that every young athlete should have the opportunity to receive the best coaching possible and be guided to being the best player, teammate and person they can be.
